Hardwood European Crafted Vegetable Shredders

We should have thought of these things before ordering. It’s not that the product isn’t beautiful or that it was misrepresented. But once we had it at home a few practical things we missed. No stand, making it difficult to shred, wishing we could prop it up. No adjustable slicing size—but the slice is very thin and we are happy with it. And there is no case for it or any storage safety measure to make sure you don’t accidentally grab it from the cabinet.
Still beats using a plastic one as materials are concerned but—-not as versatile.

Works well for shredding cabbage for home made sauerkraut.

This works beautifully to slice cabbage for making slaw and sauerkraut. It is a game changer for me in preparing these healthy dishes.

Bought this on a whim trying to find an easy and efficient way to shred cabbage for sauerkraut. I recently obtained a 5L Crock to ferment the cabbage. Using this wonderfully old-world device I was able to shred 3 heads of cabbage in less than 10 minutes. I am thankful that I purchased this shredder.
