The Kale Razor is the only metal herb and kale stripping tool available and the only one that features a Speedslot (of our own design) for even faster stem removal. About the metal? Oh Yeah. We are super proud and very excited to say this product is BORN and MADE in Buffalo, NY! Each piece receives a loving polishing by hand before heading out to kale and herb lovers across America. The Kale Razor has also been generating buzz in the bartending community being perfect for prepping herbs for cocktails and garnishes! Kale Razors are now popping up at bars across the city, zipping rosemary, basil and mint from the stems until last-call each night.

The bottom line? The Raw Rutes Kale Razor is here to help you spend more time eating healthy snacks and less time preparing them! Six holes in graduated sizes accommodate large and small kale leaves alike. Just pull each stem through the appropriate sized hole. Alternately, hold the tool parallel to the kale stem and use the speedslot to quickly slide along the stem and remove the leaves even faster. The speedslot gently grips the leaves and shears them off the stem. The Kale Razor is also great for use in commercial restaurants for preparing parsley and cilantro, as well as behind the bar when removing leaves from herbs like rosemary and mint. Mojitos just got easier! Ideal for removing the stems of leafy greens like kale, mustard greens and collard greens as well as herbs like rosemary, oregano, thyme, mint and parsley.

    Never used it for Kale

I'm not a big fan of kale, but I make a lot of salsa and use a lot of fresh herbs. This is amazing for stripping cilantro. Works better than any other method I have tried. The same is true for basil, parsley and oregano. Highly recommended, even if you are not a fan of kale.

    Clever and fantastic gadget!!

The best new kitchen tool we have seen in years. Have sent to Robin's two kids and just sent one to my amateur kitchen spook brother. He claims gourmet status but I think not. Unless he has one of these!!

    BUY THE REAL ONE!

Short story. My sister bought one and loved it. I accidentally bought a competitor product without realizing it was a knockoff. It was not nearly as good and was sharp in all the wrong places. Once I realized what I'd done, I bought this one and it's worked as intended.

    GREAT !

I use on kale from my garden. Most fits through the holes, but I use the slot on some of the biggest or oddly shaped pieces. Then it gets sauted with garlic and olive for an awesome side dish.

I used it wrong. Still worked great!

I just used it for the first time on a head of kale. I sped through the whole thing quickly and with ease. Funny thing is, as I was working it, I wondered what the slot in the middle was for. I was sticking the stalks into the first and second largest holes and it was doing the job perfectly. It wasn't until I went to a YouTube video on using this apparatus that I found out that slot is a "blade" for slicing kale leaf from stem! I dunno. I like my accidental usage better. The blade is a two-step process; running down both sides of the stalk. Running it through the holes is a one-shot pull and Bob's yer uncle. Anyway, use it however you like, but it does do the job.
