Hardwood European Crafted Vegetable Shredders

I have both the large and small vegetable shredders, and they work extremely well for the last two years. The large one I make several gallons of sauerkraut, and it is extremely easy. And the small one is really nice for a finally shredded carrot or onion on a salad. But if you peel a potato you can make, your own homemade potato chips, which are truly addicting. The only thing I did differently was applied many coats of mineral oil before I begin to use them. The blades are extremely sharp and work well. They also look nice hanging on a pot rack.

Its perfect for making kraut very well built. I can't belive i waited this long to invest in this. Would buy again in a heart beat.

Well my Slovenia made cabbage slicer just arrived! I just rubbed it down with General Finishes Butcher Block oil which is food safe. The quality of this cutter is incredible. I am an experienced woodworker. This has to be the best one you can buy! I planted my fall North Carolina garden with heirloom filderkraut cabbage, the most popular German sauerkraut cabbage. I am so excited for my harvest and making my first sauerkraut. My German family immigrated to NC long ago. This cutter will once again become a family heirloom one day. It is such well made it will last generations! Thank you!

We buy this for our catering business and we love it for make 'salatka' like from our home country poland. Construction is better than ones we remember from home, very nice. Also this is excellent item for sauerkraut. A food processor or knife will never give you the right texture for cabbage,. A mandoline slicer take very long time because only one blade. This is fast and is perfect. By the way, we use standard size one for these project. Thanks! -Aleks and Janek

All I have to say is wow! I've been suffering through a regular mandolin to slice up my cabbage for my sauerkraut. I purchased this slicer and used it for the first time today. I just realized that I wasted so much time slicing cabbage on a regular mandolin I couldn't believe how fast this went through a full head of cabbage! I am so glad that I bought this! Definitely worth every penny.
